So, clearly I fell short of my goal. What can I say, Things got too busy to keep up, but I gave it the ol’ college try as they say, and I am pretty pleased with 75 paintings in a year, not too shabby. I’m still going to work towards hitting 81 paintings, and then 100, but I give myself the next however long it takes to do so…

I have a bunch of other painting projects happening this year, so watch for those if you want on my main project blog.

In the mean time, I’ll figure out what to do here next.

Here is the seventy-fifth painting. This is from a doodle I made in adobe illustrator some time ago. It was a perfect square so seemed applicable.

Here is the seventy-fourth painting. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to paint, so I started digging though old scans from sketchbooks. This is from a doodle I found that I drew sometime around 2003/2004, while still in art school. I suppose there is a reason I never throw away my doodles…

Here is the seventy-third painting. A rare instance of teeth that aren’t crazy-yellow.

Painting number seventy-one:

Here is the seventy-first painting. He has one rounded gum and one flat-slab gum. His dentist must be proud.

Painting number seventy:

Here is the seventieth painting. Seventieth sounds weird. Also, this is the third painting in a row you might notice some wrinkly texture to the surface. I have been ‘gluing’ tracing paper to the canvas and putting down a layer of absorbent ground for these last few. It’s sort of like painting on paper.
